My passion for art began during childhood in upstate New York. While living in the Capital District, I created pottery, jewelry, linoleum block prints and explored various other art forms. It was only after moving to the beautiful Berkshire mountains of Massachusetts that my focus and attention shifted to painting.

Second only to art, is my passion for philosophy. So in 2005 I completed my B.A. in philosophy and world religions. I began my search to find a way to integrate philosophy and spirituality with art. An opportunity appeared in 2006 to take Linda Novick’s week-long intensive program, “Yoga and Painting in the Berkshires” at Kripalu Yoga and Health Center in Lenox. That week was the beginning of a powerful transformation for me that resulted in a period of full time art making and a renewed yoga practice. I studied drawing and painting at the Interlaken School of Art for several years, took workshops throughout the Northeast and began showing my work. I love painting on a regular basis and continue to explore my relationship between art and philosophy.

Painting has become my looking glass, my way of examining the world around me and within me. And it is through this lens that I seek to explore the everyday, the ordinary, in extraordinary ways. I am fascinated by the symbolic, the surreal, and all of nature. I work to create my reality in each painting and to convey something that is both universal and personal.

I currently serve as a director on the Berkshire Art Association Board and the Berkshire Kripalu Community Board. I'm also a member of the Housatonic Valley Art League, the Becket Arts Center and BerkshireMade. My paintings hang in private and corporate collections in the United States and abroad.
